M2D - Midnight to Dawn, March 2018.  Our night lurkers enjoyed balmy weather, good roads and breakfast at the Fernvale Bakery.  And all day Sunday to snooze it off.  Images from Brian Mcmillan

VCCQ BOULES CHAMPIONSHIP, May 2018.    A damp morning didn't deter the faithful and by the end of play it was all sunshine and smiles.  Everyone got the idea of throwing their balls about - a good time was had by all.  Images: Brian McMillan

Morning Tea at Brookfield Nursery, May 2018.  A relaxed mid-week gathering with guest of honour Graeme "Grim" Peters.     Lensman: Brian McMillan

ANNUAL CONCOURS, June 2018.    Our big display day in the delightful grounds of Ormiston House.  Always a great show and always a surprise or two.  This year it was the R-R Phantom II Sedanca de Ville.  Guest clubs this year were the Veteran Car Club and the TR Register.  Images courtesy of Brian Carson.

OLD WHITEY RECORD RUN RE-ENACTMENT, 5 July 2018.    It's not often re-enactments are run on the event's centenary by the original car.  Graeme Crittenden has done it, with son Paul driving.  The 1912 Overland was originally driven by Fred Eager (yes, those Eagers) in record time from Brisbane to Toowoomba.  The 2018 run went at the same pace but there were some publicity halts along the way.  A great achievement!  Pictures from Wolf Grodd & Brian McMillan

For more pictures and a brief video have a peep at this.

PRESENTATION LUNCH - August 2018.    In the extra pleasant surrounds of the Royal Queensland Yacht  Squadron's base at Manly we enjoyed drinks and nibbles ahead of the (not very) formal presentation of Concours and other trophies awarded for 2018.  Pictures courtesy of Brian McMillan.

MORNING TEA - September 2018.    A small and dedicated group gathered at the Place of Stones in suburban Taringa for coffee and a chat.   A nice excuse to get the cars out for a run in our fabulous Spring weather.  Look closley at at the clothesline.  Brian McMIllan photos.

DOUBLE DATE - September 15, 2018.    VCCQ contingents were seen at two interesting events:  The Brookfied Markets out in the leafy western suburbs and the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron's 134th Sailing Season Opening Day.  You can probably figure out which is which.  Wolf Grodd, Jennie Ransom and Brian McMIllan photos.

ALL BRITISH DAY - September 23, 2018.    This event seems to be bigger each year and the push to improve the VCCQ's visibility resulted in a worthwhile and very diverse turnout.  R-R, Bristol, Sunbeam, Wolseley Hornet Special (maiden appearance), Alvis, Riley and Aston Martin were all represented.  The now-famous VCCQ marquee's shade was a winner. Brian McMIllan photos.

CHRISTMAS PARTY,  21 December 2018.     We returned to the notion of doing our own catering this year and the results were truly gratifying.  Complimentary bubbles to start, then fantasic nibbles followed by a diet-busting buffet at tables set with style.  Around the room David Fryer's magic collection of lamps and automobilia added to the atmosphere.  The volunteer teams did excellent work and the proverbial good time was had by all.  Photos from Peter Ransom and (mostly) Brian McMillan.

BOXING DAY BAYSIDE, December 2018.     The traditional Boxing Day viewing of the waters/fish & chips/glass of something refreshing saw a happy gathering at Cleveland Point.  Images from Brian McMillan.

AND THAT'S THE END OF 2018.
