Concerned with the negative impact the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) has had on the Historic Car movement in Australia, a group of clubs have formed the Australian Historic Vehicle Interest Group under the direction of our past President, Doug Young.
This page will help our members and visitors to stay up to date with the Group's activities and progress with relevant articles, links and submissions.

VCCQ at MotorFest
RACQ offered us a unique opportunity: exclusive use of the John Reid Pavilion at MOTORFEST 2022! We were delighted to accept and the subsequent VCCQ display was probably the largest ever by a car club. The 40 vehicles we presented showed the eras and styles of motoring that interest our members.

OTHER STUFF
The cars were visible, but not so the volunteers and support crews that put in such an effort behind the scenes. A few of them couldn't escape our intrepid lensmen and women.
OUR BAND. The legendary Gregory Terrace Stompers strutted their stuff and helped pull the extraordinary numbers that poured through our display.
AROUND THE CORNER in the Jaguar display lurked a gorgeous SS, about which we know nothing. A little further along the "oily rag" Brush is somewhat patinated but don't be deceived: it's heading off in a week or so, participating in the Brisbane to Broome expedition with another 50-odd 1- and 2-cylinder cars and bikes!
